Comfort Suites Maingate East
2775 Florida Plaza Blvd, Kissimmee, Kissimmee,
My family and I spent six nights at this hotel, for the most part it was good. The rooms were very clean, the free shuttle to the parks were always on time and had good departure times to and from the parks. The free breakfast was great, it was a great savings. The pool area was not crowed at all, the only complaint was that the little kiddie pool was not heated, only the large pool. The snack bar is only open later in the day so if you need to eat it is a easy walk to find places to eat. Denny's gives free meals to all children Mon-Fri which is cool. Old Town is fun for the kids, lots of kiddie rides and shops to look into. The biggest complaint I have about the hotel is that when I arrived I went to the corseige desk to get some information and the girl was on a private call and asked to to come back later (which I thought was very rude) also I tried several times to call the front desk to get a wake up call and nobody answered, I don't know if they were not answering or gone for the evening so bring a alarm clock! Also the pellows were very very very soft, so if you like a firmer pellow, bring your own! All in all this hotel provided the things I needed and I would return!

Dux - Peabody Hotel Orlando
9801 International Dr, Orlando, Kissimmee,
I and my hubby went on vacation between may26 and june2.The hotel itself was very nice, orchids and marble everywhere, cute accent was that they had a"duck march",every day from 11am to 5pm the hotel had real ducks swimming in the fountain.Hotel rooms were very clean, nice clean bathrooms and you get a cute duck shaped soap too,the sheets were changed every morning and the staff was really pleasant and polite. We didnt get a chance to try the high end restaurants located in the hotel,we only had a chance to try the one called the B-line,it was ok kinda like a 60's diner, the staff was treating us poorly becouse we would only order desert so i guess they didnt think they would get a big enough tip,the deserts though were really really good, you should try "better than chocolate" cake and cookies'n'cream ice cream, very deliciuos. The hotel had an almost olympic size pool, kiddie pool, cabanas,an outdoor bar and some souvenir shops. We liked the bar called "Mallards" i believe its called, its located close to the duck fountain right in the middle of the hotel.I dont have any complaints about our check in or check out,we checked in got our room keys and were on our way.If you do get your room on a higher floor, you will get a very nice view of the surrounding buildings,or the pool. The overall experience was pretty good,i think the rooms are a bit overpriced. The $10 per nigh fee was a big surprise, nobody told us about it,they charge you for internet,no matter if you brought your laptop with you or not,2 bottles of water and a newspaper and no,you cant choose either you want those things or not the fee still applies. We were tired and didnt feel like arguing so we paid, but we think its kindof ridiculous to be charged extra for that,i suppose they could just add the fee to the overall room price, but not just surprise you like that. Be prepared to pay the fee.So overall the hotel was nice and our vacation went smoothly.Good luck with yours:)

Nickelodeon Family Suites by Holida
14500 Continental Gtwy, Orlando, Kissimmee,
We were so excited to go to the Nick Hotel ("A"on advertising, Nick), but unfortunately were severely disappointed upon arrival ("D" on service). We were told guests can't check-in until 4pm - and check out is at 11am. The operator said we couldn't even use the pools and/or services before 4pm the day we arrived. In fact, this was not true. We were able to get pool passes, but the whole experience with the front desk was difficult to say the least (stood in line to check in and again to get the keys, and there was only 2 people working the front desk). The room was okay but dated. Beware of the pics online showing the kids suite. There is no stove, no utensils, and a room size frig, so don't food shop before arrival. Our biggest disappointment came with the shuttle services. There are 3-4 shuttles leaving in the morning and 3-4 shuttles returning at night to each resort (Disney, MGM, Universal, etc). Sounds fine to you? Think again. You have to get a ticket for the shuttles the day before to even get on and if you aren't lucky enough to get the first shuttle, the parks are so crowded, you'll kick yourself all day long about arriving late. And the return shuttles don't start until around 6pm, and they're so spread apart, it's hard to make it back, unless you give in to a car service or taxi ($20-$30 per ride). The return buses from Disney are even worse...you're required to navigate your way through a sea of people and sit in the middle of an enormous bus lot until your bus finally picks you up. There are no posted signs letting you know where to go, so keep the piece of paper that has the parking space #, because you'll miss your bus trying to figure that one out. The shuttle drivers are severely underpaid, and understaffed, so if you get good service, drop to your knees and thank them. I won't be back to the Nick, but will probably go back to Universal (it was a blast, and they have hotels right on the property so you don't have to deal with bus schedules). We did enjoy the Nick show at night, but sign up early, because you won't get in otherwise.

Oak Plantation Villas
4090 Enchanted Oaks Cir, Kissimmee, Kissimmee,
My wife and I visited this place. On the surface this place is wonderful and seems great, until you have a problem. Our room had no towels, it took us 4 hours to get some, after I went to the office to pick them up. Not only was our room dirty and had an awful smell when we arrived, but there was a infestation of ants. When we talked to management, they told us someone would come and spay. They never offered to change our room. After 2 hours no one came to look at the problem. We were supposed to stay here for 4 days, we left before the first night. They refused to give us a refund so i was out the money I paid. STAY AWAY!

Orange Lake Resort & Country Club
8505 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, Kissimmee,
I exchanged a week here and got a West Village 2 bedroom. West Village is older, but the accomodations were OK. Some items did not work in the room such as 2 lights and there was no dish drain for the sink. There was a fire ant hill right outside the door, which was pretty scarey. The place is huge, you need a car to go anywhere. The pools were nice, perfect for little kids and never too crowded. the Pizza place on site was good for pasta/ pizza. The problem I have is that this is supposed to be a gold crown resort. I don't think the accomodations live up to gold crown standards. The resort is very close to restaurants and Disney, which is great. I think I will try another resort next year.
